Title: 64-BIT STORAGE OVERLAY WITH MAXUSER > 4095
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
ACF2 initialization processing erroneously allocates a single
1MB segment in 64-bit storage for a structure containing multiple
slots with "ACFQCELL" eyecatchers. The structure needs to be large
enough to accommodate one ACFQCELL per ASID. For sites that specify
a MAXUSER value greater than 4095 the single 1MB segment is not
enough. The problem symptoms are largely unpredictable but will
typically show a storage overlay in the 1MB segment that follows
the ACF2 ACFQCELL segment.
SYMPTOMS:
Symptoms vary depending on how the overlaid storage is being used.
Known symptoms include abends in ACF04RSV resource rule processing:
SVCARECV S0C6 at XXXXXXXX LMOD ACF00SVA CSECT ACF04RSV +0010C0
ACF9C000 S0C4 at XXXXXXXX LMOD ACF9C000 CSECT ACF04RSV
How can I check what our site has MAXUSER set to?
MAXUSER is an IBM IPL parameter set in member SYS1.PARMLIB(IEASYS00)
MAXUSER=nnnn, (SYS TASKS + INITS + TSOUSERS)
