Issue/Introduction

Recently while upgrading the portal integration on our 9.2 gateway we see in our ssg logs errors like

2019-09-06T07:05:48.197+0200 WARNING 1 com.l7tech.server.policy.PolicyCacheImpl: 3255: Policy "Policy for service #b4bff64ea3a845db60b78151a87dbff6, API Portal Integration Service" (#5c5a67fa2e6e55d6666e6d6b0b40b60f) contains an unlicensed assertion: Unknown assertion: ManagePortalResource

The portal integration still seem to work correctly. But do we need a new type license?

On license details it's currently mentioning : Grant : Use of Layer 7 SecureSpan Suite major version 9 featuring Gateway.

Resolution

The WARNING of "contains an unlicensed assertion" - these warning messages are related to OpenID Connect Authentication, used by the MAG.

If you're not using the MAG, this can be ignored.
