I am getting a S002-038 abend against the DBASE1 file. What is the fix?

Issue/Introduction

Doing a REFREEZE in CA Auditor I get erro message:

IEC036I 002-38,IGC0005E,ABCD251,BATCH1,DBASE1,9999,ZYXV02,SECADM.AUDITOR.DBASE1 

I am getting a S002-038 abend against the DBASE1 file.  What is the fix?

Resolution

The problem is the DBASE1 file has run out of dataset directory blocks.  Create a new file with more directory blocks, and copy the old file to the new one.
