Web Viewer 12.1
Now supports login to Web viewer and View repositories using a mainframe passphrase. A passphrase is a password between 9 and 100 characters in length. Using password phrases increases system security by providing a greater number of possible character combinations compared to using a standard password. Passphrases are supported from 9 to 100 characters in length.
Prerequisites:
- DRAS 14.0
- View 14.0
- Web Viewer with SO06678 Cumulative build 198 or higher applied. We recommend you apply the latest build available. Note solutions are the same for every platform so it does not matter what platform you choose when downloading a solution.
- When an LPAR does not support PassPhrases, nothing needs to be done.
- When an LPAR allows PassPhrases, the Repository Definition for each Repository Location defined for the LPAR must be updated by checking the "PassPhrase Supported on LPAR" field on the Web Viewer Administration->Repository Definition screen.

View Security Considerations
Top Secret Considerations
If you use Top Secret as your primary security package, take the following steps to establish the authorization required by the DRAS task to access the View database:
- Create an ACID that must be assigned to the DRAS started task.
- Give this ACID the appropriate security permissions for the View and DRAS datasets.
- Give this ACID access to the View facility.
- Define a new DRAS facility in Top Secret.
- Give this ACID a MASTFAC pointing to the new DRAS facility.
- Add an entry in the started task table to assign this ACID to the DRAS started task.
- Give users access to the DRAS facility.
- Restart the DRAS started task to pick up the new security definitions
