Team Members Are Always Soft Booked When Converting From Ideas To Projects (or New From Template)

Issue/Introduction

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Navigate to Administration > Objects. Search for the "Team" object. Search for "Booking Status" attribute
2. Set "Default" as "Hard"
3. Create an Idea
4. Allocate a team member to the Idea in the "Team" tab. Notice that its status defaults to "Hard"
5. Approve and Convert this idea to a project (without using templates)
6. Navigate to the newly created project's "Team" tab

Note: This applies to the Classic and Modern 'New From Template'

Expected Results: The resource present in the "Team" tab of the project has Booking Status = "Hard"

Actual Results: The resource present in the "Team" tab of the project has Booking Status = "Soft"

Cause

This behaviour was reported to Product Engineering via DE50603.

Resolution

It was determined that this is an intended behaviour of the application. While converting Team Members from an Idea to a Project, the application intentionally marks their Booking Status as Soft. The application is designed to do this.
