ACFRPTOM report shows R_getgroupsbynam call with "Failed - Group count less than number of supplemental groups" What is that?

Issue/Introduction

The ACFRPTOM report shows this error:

 

R_getgroupsbynam WEBADM  SYSPROD            0        1001   8      8      4 

  mm/dd/yy  yy.ddd   hh.mm.ss WEBADM          SYS1     SYS1                   

  Failed - Group count less than number of supplemental groups  

    

How is this corrected?

Component : CA ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

The R_getgroupsbynam call is issued as an attempt to get the supplemental groups for a user.  The code making the call supplied an expected number but ACF2 found more, resulting in the message.  The code then makes the request with a larger number, repeating the process until it is successful.  The entry can be ignored.  

Many entries can be ignored as normal in the ACFRPTOM report.  The ACFRPTOM report only needs to be viewed if having problems in OMVS, or the ACF2 Support requests the information.
