IECTMS3 NOT SCRTCH (51) after upgrade to CA 1 Release 14.0

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading CA 1 from Release 12.6 to 14.0 tapes jobs started to fail with:

 IECTMS3 uuuu,vvvvvv,TR2892,IS NOT SCRTCH (51)
 IEFTMS50 2XX- 08 jobname,stepname,ddname,dddd,vvvvvv,fsq,dsname,TMC=tmdsn17 

This occurred for a tape job creating a mutlifile tape with RETPD=0 used for all secondary files and RETPD>0 for the first file.

NOT SCRTCH (51) is not described in the manuals.
What does this NOT SCRTCH code mean?

Release : 14.0

Component : CA 1 Tape Management

Resolution

NOT SCRTCH (51) does not exist in CA 1. This should actually be a NOT SCRTCH (52).
However, in ths particular case the job should not have failed at all.

Install CA 1 Release 14.0 PTF RO98735 to fix this problem.
