CHARS ALTERED ON INITIAL NM MENU WITH ACCESS VIA TN3270

Issue/Introduction

From cust: 

We observed that the initial NM menu does not show 

the remote IP when it is used via TPX. But on access

via TN3270 it shows the IP and it adds a line.      This

line appears with altered chars when we use  TN3270  

access with emulator PW3270 version 5      (based on 

x3270). We would like Support to evaluate it   confirm-

ing the correct workings of NetMaster in this case.  We 

are sending attached copies of the screens and      one 

capture with the chain of bytes from TN3270 that is   re-

ceived at the work station.

Resolution

From L2 to customer: 

The latest PTF for the panels here is not applied (SO07237). 

You could install that PTF to see if things change. However: 

We don't think this will change the behavior as we        don't   

believe the panels have changed. We see nothing        wrong 

from our perspective. We believe     support for the emulator 

software need to get involved to see why that is      behaving 

that way. 

From customer to us: 

We sent a screen shot. The panels were updated        but the

chars remain altered. We will close the case anyway.
