Clean Installation Steps

Issue/Introduction

Can you please let me know the steps to do the clean all installation files and performing fresh IDM installation on Dev server.

I tried uninstalling/installing IDM 12.6.8 version twice but in logs its still capturing old configuration setup.

Environment

Release : 12.6.6

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Resolution

You need to delete these 2 hidden registry files

 .CA_IAM_FW.registry

 .com.zerog.registry.xml

 IN a linux system these are in the /var folder,

 

 on Windows its in a few places: 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zero G Registry

C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\Identity Manager\IAM Suite\Identity Manager\install_config_info\iam-suite-uninstall 

C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\Identity Manager\install_config_info\im-uninstall 

 

 Make sure that the hidden registry file does not exist.
