Copying Tasks from Template Slow Performance

Issue/Introduction

Copying tasks from a template takes about 50 minutes to complete.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open the project.
2. Open the Tasks menu and click Gantt.
3. Click the down arrow for the Create New Task icon on the Gantt view, and click Copy Task from Template.
4. Select the project template containing the tasks and click Next.
5. Select the tasks to copy into your project.

Resolution

1. Ensure the database parameters match what is set as per techdocs: Post-Install: Optimize Oracle 12c Performance
2. If the DB setting updates don't help, further investigation may be required from the Database side, including having the DBA check for any slow running queries that can be tuned.
