Can z/VSE 6.2 maintenance for CA CIS and CA DYNAM be applied to z/VSE 5.2 before the upgrade to z/VSE 6.2?

Issue/Introduction

We are upgrading z/VSE from 5.2 to 6.2.   I have reviewed the z/VSE Compatibility Matrix and I am in the process of downloading the required maintenance.  Can z/VSE 6.2 maintenance for CA CIS and CA DYNAM be applied to z/VSE 5.2 before the operating system upgrade to z/VSE 6.2?

Level 2 confirmed that the z/VSE 6.2 maintenance for CA CIS and CA DYNAM can be applied to z/VSE 5.2 before the operating system upgrade to z/VSE 6.2.
