Resolution

The DCINTRNL task is a system service task used for certain terminal I/O functions. One of its jobs is to provide terminal services to the task RHDCMSTR.

If it is a VTAM terminal, check the status of the terminal.

There have been similar cases where IDMS tried to write something to the terminal, but that one was already disconnected, outside of IDMS, which could point to a problem at the VTAM level.

Use the following commands to determine the status of the line and terminals:

DCMT D LINE <involved line>
DCMT D LTE <involved lte>
DCMT D PTE <involved pte>
