To request an EKG key, please contact Broadcom Customer Care.
Note: If site keys are being used, an EKG key is no longer required. The site keys can be used for DR testing
Dynamically activate the EKG key using one of the following methods for an EKG key.
Method #1:
Update the KEYS member being referenced in the CAS9 procedure (executes PGM=CAIRIM). This procedure will normally be defined in the system PROCLIB.
The EKG code should be the first non-commented statement in the KEYS member. Starting in column 1 it should follow the format:
EKG(xxxxxxxx)
With the EKG code defined and the KEYS member saved, run CAS9 using the following console start command:
S CAS9,,,LMPKEYS
Using the above command will allow the CAS9 procedure to execute only the KEYS statement and nothing more.
Method #2:
Issue the following console start command which will prompt you for the EKG code at the console.
S CAS9,,,EKGP
The WTOR will expect only the 8-character code.
This method does not require you to update the KEYS member
Method #1:
Catalog the new EKG key into the CALMPKEY.A member as the first uncommented line of the file.
Run this batch job:
// EXEC CAIRIM
/*
Method #2:
Release a pause into a partition.
Respond to the paused partition with this command:
pid EXEC CAIRIM,PARM='EKGP'
Respond to the next message with a command like this:
pid EKG(1FBE00CF)
A successful activation of an EKG code will result in a message in the following format:
CAS9116I ‑ EKG DEVICE CODE ACCEPTED ACTIVATED ON:
month dd, year G.M.T
