Procedure $AMEMAIL: Need to change MAIL FROM value

Issue/Introduction

Customer explained the request:

 

We ask if there is a procedure to alter the name of the sender--the MAIL FROM command of protocol SMTP--on the automatic e-mails that are generated with 

the trouble ticket resource.  Due to the company having a security standard it is necessary to alter the sending key. 

 

Currently the e-mails are generated with the generic name NETMSTR from the NetMaster STC.  For example:  Mail FROM: <netmstr@mf-sys> .

Environment

OS:  z/OS.

Resolution

SO09577 was raised and tested successfully by our customer.  It makes use of global variable $AMFREMAIL.

This is an example of a dynamic definition of $AMFREMAIL:  $glbl $AMFREMAIL System_SYSD .
