SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS Database Management for DB2 for z/OS - Performance Suite

Issue/Introduction

Can the following Sysview for Db2 for z/OS exception be set at the Package instead of the Plan level?:

>>>
ACTIVE **** ******** SUM High number of deadlocks encountered, &VALUEXX,
******** for PLAN=&PLANNAM and CONN=&CONNNAM

IND Deadlock encountered for PLAN=&PLANNAM,
AUTH=&AUTHIDX, CONN=&CONNNAM, CORR=&CORRELATION

REAL Deadlock encountered

Environment

Release : 20.0
Component : SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS

Resolution

Exceptions for applications are not monitored at the package level.

What can be done is to copy the application deadlock exception and fully qualify it by the plan name and connection name.
Then either set the threshold values very high or set the threshold checks to N for all three categories (info, warn, crit).
That way, the application with the deadlock problem can have an exception that effectively disables deadlock checking
while other applications will go unaffected.
