Issue/Introduction

Migrating from NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP Release 12.1 to 12.2.

Can the existing 12.1 VSAM files for RAMDB, RAMDBST and RAMDBWK be used for 12.2 or do I need to create the 12.2 VSAM files for RAMDB, RAMDBST and RAMDBWK?

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP

Resolution

Vsam datasets RAMDBST and RAMDBWK are just work files and unimportant.

We deliver elements in the RAMDB and the RAMDB delivered with 12.2 may have things in it which are not found on the 12.1 version

It is a good idea to use the new RAMDB delivered with 12.2 and then migrate the old 12.1 RAMDB elements to it.
