Issue/Introduction

Cust asked:

We were able to install MOI 2.0.04 on new machine machine_name on our site. Now

we will point system_name to collect data for this machine.

The services came up--but a doubt remained: On MOI 2.0.03 35 microservices  came

up while on MOI 2.0.04 only 32 did.

Is this correct?

Environment

Release : 2.0.04

Component : MF OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Resolution

Support answered it:

It depends on what Applications are enabled.

For release 02.0.04--with no Applications enabled--the base number of microservices is 30.

If you enable "Insight Sharing"     that adds 1 microservice.

If you enable "Issue Intelligence" that adds 1 microservice.

If you enable "Topology"              that adds 3 microservices.

Cust then said:  How to enable the Topology  microservice?

Support then said:

The (3) Topology microservices are started when the Topology application is enabled.

You enable applications by using the Appliance Controller. Once logged into the Appliance Controller

use the left navigation bar to go to the Manage Applications page:

Configuration… Applications

This should bring up a list of Applications and a description of what each application is. There will  be

an Enabled/Disabled toggle button for each application that shows its current state. You should

see Topology in the list of applications. Simply enable the Topology application. This should

start the (3) Topology microservices.
