Release : 11.0
Component : JOBTRAC
The dataset count field (D, column 71) indicates the number of data sets that must be created or updated and then closed before the scheduled event can be submitted. This value in the SCL only tells Jobtrac to wait for a certain number of datasets. There is no knitting with the actual dataset names. If a job depends on 2 datasets to be created before it can be triggered, this is satisfied whether two unique datasets arrives or one dataset by the same name arrives twice. If actual names need to be considered a possible solution would be to create dummy jobs, each one depending on one of the datasets and making these dummy jobs predecessors of the actual job.
As always, please contact Broadcom support for Jobtrac Job Management if you have further questions.
