Cannot see Async and other non-physical port Interfaces in CA PM

Issue/Introduction

After discovering and monitoring Gigabit Ethernet and other physical ports on Cisco routers via Spectrum into CA Performance Management (CAPM), we can't see the asynchronous ports. These are provided on a High Speed Wan Interface card with 16 RS232 async ports(HWIC-16A).

Environment

DX NetOps CAPM Release : 20.2 or later

Cause

Asynchronous ports are part of the Alternate Interfaces Metric Family (MF) and so do not appear under general interfaces.

Resolution

Asynchronous and other 'alternate' ports should appear under "Device Components"  when the Async "Alternate Ports" is activated after adding the "Alternate Interface" Metric Family (MF) to the Device Monitoring Profile.
