Issue/Introduction

Upgrade fails with following error: [exec] java.sql.SQLException: [CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-0000: Error: ORA-04021: timeout occurred while waiting to lock object CMN_SEC_ASSGND_OBJ_PERM_T3

Blank screen with following error - java.sql.SQLException: [CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-04021: timeout occurred while waiting to lock object

Resolution

• Work with your DBA to understand if there is any queries stuck/blocked on the database.
• DBA to resolve those as appropriate
• Reference to query the dba_ddl_locks table
