ecometer_monitor probe was upgraded but does not appear in the ecometer administrator web view

Issue/Introduction

• When upgrading to version 5.02, the hub where the probe was updated does not appear in the ecometer administrator web view in UMP/OC.
• This prevents the ability to edit templates.

Resolution

In general,

Ensure all prerequiste packages during ecometer_monitor probe upgrade and same version are deployed to prevent compatibility mismatch.

Download the ecoMeter for UIM packages from the UIM web archive and add them to the local archive. Then deploy the ecoMeter UIM packages in the following order:

ecoMeter for UIM Probes and the Third-Party Library Files
Deploy ecoMeter for UIM Probes on robots throughout the primary and secondary hub as needed. The probes communicate with the data center devices to be monitored. 

Also deploy the third-party libraries package to all probes that poll WMI, IPMI, or OPC devices. The package names for the CA ecoMeter for UIM Probe and the Third-Party Libraries are ecometer_monitor and ecometer_3rdpartylibs.

 

ecoMeter for UIM Administrator

Deploy ecoMeter for UIM Administrator on the same robot as the Unified Monitoring Portal. The package name is ecometer_admin.

 

ecoMeter for UIM Efficiency Report 

Deploy the ecoMeter for UIM Efficiency Report on the same robot as the Unified Monitoring Portal. The package name is ecometer_efficiencyreport.

 

In this particular cases/scenario, the customer only needed to redeploy the ecometer_admin module to the OC robot. Then the 'Ecometer Admin' module reappeared.
