Migrate XCOM for Solaris to XCOM for Windows

Issue/Introduction

We need to migrate XCOM from Solaris Oracle to the latest Windows version.

Environment

• XCOM™ Data Transport® for Windows
• XCOM™ Data Transport® for Sun Solaris Operating System

Resolution

• The first thing you need to do is to purchase XCOM for Windows. If you do not need the Solaris version anyone, you may be able to swap the license. You will need to talk with your Broadcom Sales person to do that - we cannot do that in support
• Save your configurations - xcom.glb, cnf or xml files and any customized exits you have on XCOM for Solaris. You will use these as a reference to customize these on Windows. You cannot just copy them over. 
• Download the product and do a new install on Windows
• Refer Installing in the XCOM for Windows online documentation.
• Customize your xcom.glb and configuration files referring to your files from Solaris.
• Perform a loopback transfer to test your installation.
