Copy the ICSF encryption key from one system to another

Issue/Introduction

When introducing a new Encryption method such as Crypto cards to replace an existing method, you may need to copy the encryption keys from one system to another since the data was encrypted using the old method and keys.

Cause

If the data was encrypted using the old keys, you may need to copy them from an older system to new system.

Resolution

You need to use a ICSF copy utility to copy the keys. For instance, ICSF provides a utility program CSFEUTIL, that performs certain functions. You needed to do the copy with a ICSF utility. You cannot use IDCAMS.
