In this release, SiteMinder provides the following installer kits for Web Agents 12.8:

Symantec SiteMinder Web Agent r12.8 for Windows-64-IMS Only.zip/Symantec SiteMinder Web Agent r12.8 for Linux-64-IMS Only.zip:

This ZIP file includes a kit with an embedded Java, same as the previous Web Agent installers. Use this installer to use the Java version that is bundled with the Web Agent.

Symantec SiteMinder Web Agent r12.8 without jvm for Windows-64-IMS Only.zip/Symantec SiteMinder Web Agent r12.8 without jvm for Linux-64-IMS Only.zip:

This ZIP file includes a kit that does not provide any embedded Java. Use this installer to use your own version of Java. To use this kit:

- Set the path of the supported Java as the first value in the PATH environment variable. The installation fails if Java is not already present on the system on which you run this installer. For information on the supported Java versions, see Platform Support Matrix.

(Additional step on Windows 2022) Set the JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS environment variable as follows, as is with the double quotes:
JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS="-Dos.name=Windows 7"
