What is SVC 159 used for?

Issue/Introduction

As IBM uses specified SVC numbers below 200, what is SVC 159 used for with CA Common Services?

• Common Services 14.1

Resolution

As found in the CA Common Services 14.1 documentation section entitled CAIENF Requirements:  CAIENF dynamically installs SVC 159 for CAIENF/CICS communication purposes. No SVC number selection is required.  

Even though IBM uses specified SVC numbers below 200, Level 2 advised that there should be no concern for IBM using SVC 159 as CA is a development partner with IBM. If they decide to use SVC 159, we would make the necessary changes in our code.
