Issue/Introduction

Where are the scheduled reports that have been run previously in CAPM stored? And can they be accessed or retrieved?

Environment

DX NetOps CAPM all currently supported releases

Resolution

The only reports that are stored for a limited time are those where PDF and "All Pages" has been chosen during emailing/scheduling, see the following TechDocs page for details:

Under PDF:

"For All Pages, an email message is sent with a time-sensitive link to the report containing all pages."

The output location for those reports can be seen in the System Status page which  can be reached by clicking the System Health link at the top of the UI or by navigating to:

Administration -> Data Sources -> System Status.

Expand the Scheduled Report Repository section and look under Path Name. For details, see:

TechDocs : DX NetOps CAPM 24.3 : View System Status

By default, this is /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/DM/Repository if the default NetOps Portal install location was chosen at install time. However, the scheduled reports are not intended to be available for accessing from disk by design.

Instead, you should consider to provide the functionality to retrieve past scheduled reports through the GUI:

As an example of how the archived scheduled reports can be accessed within the repository services:

Saving the reports should not slow down the system, but it will take disk space to store them, so you will need to make sure retention periods are set correctly so you don't run out of disk space. We suggest to add a new disk to the system, and change the scheduled reports repository to this new disk.

Depending upon the number of scheduled reports, the archive can consume disk space to the maximum capacity of the drive. Out of the box, this is on the primary partition that Portal is installed on (that may include MySQL application). When disk space reaches that point, then the scheduled reports will not be archived, so monitor the System Status page:
