Issue/Introduction

Are below commands connecting directly to Autosys DB and bypassing app server?

forcast -J

job_depends -t

 

Environment

Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

The forecast command connects to the DB directly. It uses the $AUTOUSER/config.$AUTOSERV file to get the connection information to the DB.

The job_depends command does use the Application Server (meaning it does not connect to the database directly)
