Delete Push deviceID for user in Advanced Authentication

Issue/Introduction

A user has lost the device and we need to delete the registration from AFM in order to made him able to register a new device.

How can we proceed?

 

Environment

Release : 9.x

Component : AuthMinder(Arcot WebFort) Strong Authentication

Resolution

If a user loses his/her device, the PUSH deviceID can be deleted from the Admin console for that user which will allow the user to register again.

To do this you need to follow these steps - 

  1. Login to Admin console with Global Admin
  2. Go to users and administrators and search for the user whose device is lost
  3. Click on the user and that will get us to user screen, do a Edit user details and you will see the option to remove the DeviceID for the user.
