Viewing data for additional periods in Advanced Reporting using time slice updates

Issue/Introduction

You are trying to pull weekly ETC hours for the next full year in Advanced Reporting, but we are getting data only until 8/15/2020. How would you get data to show for the remaining of that year as well?

You are also trying to pull timesheet data previous to 7/29/2018. How would you get data to show for those previous periods?

Resolution

The weekly time periods that you see in the reports/views in Advanced Reporting depend on the weekly slices found under Administration - Time Slices. This would include any time slice with a Slice Period of Weekly and the Data Warehouse option checked.

Future Periods:

In the above example, to get weekly periods past the week of 8/20/2020, there are two options, either: 

• Change the From Date on the weekly ETC slice to be a later date to where the rest of the year 2020 will be covered
• Increase the Number of Periods on the weekly ETC slice to where the rest of the year 2020 will be covered

Note: When changing the From Date on a weekly time slice, it needs to fall on the same day of the week that is set as the First Day of Work Week under Administration - Project Management - Settings. 

Prior Periods:

To get the additional timesheet data to be available for past dates, similar steps would need to be done on the DAILYRESOURCETIMECURVE slice: 

• Change the From Date on the DAILYRESOURCETIMECURVE slice to an earlier date to where dates previous to July 2018 would be covered. 
• If needed, also increase the Number of Periods to continue covering current periods as well.
