How to stop NetSpy from initialising in SOLVE/NetMaster regions.

Initialising message in region:

NT5001 NETSPY INTERFACE INITIALIZED

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP

Resolution

SOLVE/NetMaster always loads the NetSpy interface module NM053001 and it issues the message as long as we have any of the products NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP,  NetMaster Network Automation  or  NetMaster Network Management for SNA. NetSpy is treated as a sub-feature of all those featured products.

 

It is not controlled by any PROD statements in the RUNSYSIN startup. 

A  SH SYSPARM=NS  command will show several NetSpy parameters. 

However unless some links are defined in  /PARMS NETSPYLINKS, the region won't use any CPU related to an unused feature.
