Issue/Introduction

How and where can we download and install Action Packs for Release Automation?

Environment

Release : 6.6, 6.7

Component : CA RELEASE AUTOMATION RELEASE OPERATIONS CENTER

Resolution

In the Release Operations Center  > Administration > Action Management page you can see a list of:

1. all Available, but not yet installed Action Packs available;

and

2. all Installed Action Packs currently installed.

From this interface you can install Action Packs that are not yet installed, as well as update action packs that are installed:

This requires:

1.  The UpdateService/nolio_update_service.sh (linux - on windows servers there is a nolio update service) is running; and
2.  That the Management server (NAC) is able to access the ftp site.

In cases where the update service is not running, or the server does not have access to the FTP site, you can to access/download action packs from the techdocs.broadcom.com support site here:

After you download it you can install it from the Action Management page using the Import button on the Installed Packs tab:
