Issue/Introduction

This week our Resource Managers are approving timesheets for the first time Post the upgrade. 

A new issue is getting reported by everyone (RMs)

Steps:

1. RM goes to Organizer > Action items

2. Click on the Timesheet link 

3. Timesheet opens up, RM clicks on Approve (timesheet gets approved)

4. Returns to the Action Item

5. User clicks on either save/save and return

6. Error message : ErrorERRORCAL-06039: Action Item Status cannot be updated because process instance is closed.

What is different than 15.2 : We have a 15.2 environment where when we try the same steps, the status gets refreshed in the AI (to approved) and no error message comes up

Resolution

This is working as designed. Since timesheet was approved from within the timesheet object, process moved on and finished, so it is no longer allowing user to make change to an action item that is closed.
