TPX logoff CICS ACL’s are getting hung up and can’t complete.

Issue/Introduction

When an application is left open and inactive for a period of time our logoff ACL’s are getting hung up and can’t complete. Further investigation has shown that there is some kind of “timeout” occurring that is taking the open session to a CICS login screen; at least that’s what we see when we select the session AFTER trying to log-out of it.

Release : 5.4

Component : CA-TPX for OS/390

Cause

If using a TPX Time Out greater than the CICS idle time, this condition will occur.

The CICS idle time is interfering with TPX ACL execution.

Resolution

It is recommend to remove the CICS idle time.
