Component: ACF2MS

Resolution

Sites using a secondary JES2 subsystem require a new version of ACFRJES2 and ACFUJES2 for job inheritance to be in effect for jobs submitted through a secondary JES2 subsystem.

The ACFRJES2 module receives control when a SYSOUT data set is opened.

The ACFUJES2 module locates the job in-storage JCT address and updates the ASVJID field in the job's ACFASVT entry.

To obtain a changed version of the module, follow these steps:

  1. Copy ACFRJES2 and rename the copied version, ACFRxxxx, where xxxx is the name of the secondary JES2 subsystem. For example, if the secondary name is JESB, copy ACFRJES2 and rename it ACFRJESB.

Copy ACFUJES2 and rename the copied version, ACFUxxxx, where xxxx is the name of the secondary JES2 subsystem. For example, if the secondary name is JESB, copy ACFUJES2 and rename it ACFUJESB.

  2. Assemble the copied version using the secondary subsystem's SYS1.HASPSRC and link the module into one of the link list libraries as a stand-alone module. Use the JES2LINK job found in CAI.CAX1JCL0 to accomplish this.

If you are not changing releases use an alias for the ACFRxxxx and ACFUxxxx modules to support the secondary subsystem.

Improper installation or naming of this module prevents inheritance from working on all jobs submitted through the Poly JES2.

Improper installation or naming of this module causes all jobs running on the Poly JES2 system to run under the batch default.
