Top Secret Top Secret - LDAP

Issue/Introduction

We were asked to define APPLID CALPDA in VTAM. Can you give a sample definition?

Environment

Release :

Component : CA LDAP SERVER FOR Z/OS

Cause

Need to define an applid in Top Secret to setup passtickets for Chorus and CA LDAP. Applids are usually associated with VTAM. Do we have to have to define the applid to VTAM?

Resolution

No you don't need to define a VTAM applid for CA LDAP.

The applid is the application name that is used on the RACROUTE for the passticket signon.

The application name used on the RACROUTE call must match the application name/applid defined to Top Secret for passticket setup.

To define the applid to setup passticket, use the following command:

TSS ADDTO(NDT) PSTKAPPL(applname) SESSKEY(................) SIGNMULTI

TSS LIST(NDT) DATA(SESSKEY) will show all the PSTKAPPLs in the NDT  with their SESSKEY.
