Issue/Introduction

Are checkpoint files required when using XES communications method? 

Using XES and no checkpoint files.

Is this possible..

Resolution

The requirement of the checkpoint file depends on the settings...

 - COMMUNICATION=DASDONLY with XES list structures does not require checkpoint files.
 - COMMUNICATION=XCF or CTCONLY requires checkpoint files.
 - SET ECMF REQUEUE=ON requires checkpoint files.
