TSS1623E Archive Sort Processing Failed With TSS MODEL Command

Issue/Introduction

When issuing the command TSS MODEL USING(acid1) ACID(acid2) INTO(dataset.name(acid2)) in TSO, the following messages result:

TSS1623E Archive Sort Processing Failed
TSS0301I Model Function Failed, Return Code = 8.

Resolution

Check the following: 

1) The SORT library is APF authorized.

2) The region size for the Top Secret address space is not too small. Try starting Top Secret with REGION=0M. (Do a temporary shutdown and restart (S TSSproc,,,REINIT) of TSS).

3) Did any abends occur at the time of the TSS1623E?
