Issue/Introduction

dr_validate.sh passed.

But dr_install.sh fails:

[[email protected]<host> IMDataRepository_vertica9]# ./dr_install.sh -p drinstall.properties

Script finished - ./dr_install.sh

Environment

CAPM 3.x on linux RH 6.10

Cause

Something on this system is preventing the install from reading /etc/release

So it causes that specific error.

Resolution

There is a file called

/etc/security/access.conf

And if it is edited, then it must allow localhost to ssh

In this case, here is the original entry in access.conf

+ : root : LOCAL  <shortname> <longname>

And to fix the problem it was edited to read:

+ : root : LOCAL  <shortname> <longname> localhost

Additional Information

man access.conf
