Ideal PSS OUTPUT Create Date and Time

Issue/Introduction

Whenever an Ideal program runs or encounters an error, it creates an OUTPUT file in the PSS ADROUT spool area. 

Sometimes it may be important to know when that OUTPUT spool file was created, especially when an error was encountered. 

This article explains how that information can be found.

Environment

IDEAL ( all versions) 

IPC ( all versions) 

Resolution

D OUT ALL STATUS shows the date/time. 

Note: As you scroll down this index listing, if there are a lot of files the screen may end with:

ALL       OUTPUT FILES EXCEED DISPLAY MAXIMUM. CHECK HERE TO CONTINUE

In this case, simply tab to the right of the word CONTINUE, place an “X” there and hit enter.
