Spectrum Data Source To Manage Devices In PM

Issue/Introduction

How can we enable "Discover devices from other data sources" for the Data Aggregator?  We want to integrate Spectrum with Performance Management and the discovery of devices/life cycle state is to be managed by Spectrum.

Resolution

The option to allow data source to manage the device life cycle is available under the Data Sources page within NetOps console (PM).  Only the Spectrum data source has the option to manage device life cycle in Performance Management.  Other data sources, for example NFA, do not have the option to support device life cycle in Performance Management.

To enable CA Spectrum to control the life cycle state of items in CA Performance Management, select Synchronize device life cycle state from Spectrum. For more information, see Manage Device Life Cycles
