Issue/Introduction

Users may experience account locking when modifying Oracle account attributes using the "Modify User Endpoint Account" task. This issue is specific to the Japanese environment due to JavaScript encoding incompatibilities.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

The "Locked" attribute validation JavaScript (e.g., eTSuspended value setting) is not compatible with the Japanese locale, causing incorrect processing during the attribute update.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Manage > Modify Task and select Modify Oracle Server Account.
  2. Select the Tabs tab and click Edit for the Account screen.
  3. Copy the Modify Oracle Server Account - Account screen to create a new editable version.
  4. Update the Name and Tag fields with new values.
  5. In the new screen, click Edit for the Locked attribute field.
  6. Delete the existing code in the Validation JavaScript field.
  7. Update the field properties as follows:
    • Attribute Name: Locked
    • Checked Value: 1
    • Unchecked Value: 0
    • Default: 0
  8. Click Apply and OK to save the new screen configuration.
  9. Save the changes to the Modify Oracle Server Account task.
