Issue/Introduction

On OMWV 11.5 - The error CAHASOK07 recalling offline report w/EAS was reported.  The message is generated for any report that is not online.  Online reports view just fine on this server. 

 

The message refers to an EAS task on the Server?

REPORT "rid" GEN=gen SEQ=seq NOT ACCESSIBLE, TAPE SERVER NOT ACTIVE

Reason:

The report cannot be accessed from tape. The Expanded Access Server (EAS) task is not active on the same system as CA DRAS.

Action:

Start and run the EAS task on the same system as CA DRAS. After the task has been started, the report can be accessed from CA DRAS.

Resolution

When using SAR EAS to get to archived reports, you should have your Folder/Repository defined accordingly. In the Web Viewer AdminTool, double click the folder you want to access. That should put you in the Folder Properties panel. Click the Filter Defaults and Limits tab. Then, under the Offline report access method* section, make sure you've selected View reports from off-line media without recall, if supported. That's the option that means you're using EAS. (remember to run the AdminTool "As Administrator" so your changes stick!)
