CA Content Viewer 14.0 Cannot display the PDF file in a format that we can search

Issue/Introduction

When opening report that shows as pdf, the transformer kicks in and shows the report in a new browser tab.

There is no way of doing a search in the document displayed as the pages are shown as images.

The same thing happens when opening in Adobe Reader.

 

Is there anyway of displaying the opened or downloaded file in a format that cam be searched?

Cause

Correction to a specified parameter

Resolution

It is necessary to create a non-linearized PDF.

1. To create a non-linearized PDF set, X2YY_A2PD=A2PD in the Tomcat STDENVX DD.
2. Clear out the Java Transformer input/output/queue/reports directories to force the transformers to redo the transformation.
