Issue/Introduction

The CEMCCONF job fails with RC=0719. The IEC032I E37-04 error indicates "A data set opened for output used all space available". Site using SMS managed volumes for the Compliance Event Manager ..CUSTOM.JOBLIB library.

Resolution

The problem is caused by DFSMS PARTIAL RELEASE option in the MANAGMENT CLASS. Removing the DFSMS PARTIALRELEASE option resolves the problem. For DFSMS management class you must specify values for the Partial Release. Partial Release Attribute applies to non-VSAM data sets and to all VSAM data set types allocated in the extended format. The DFSMS PARTIAL RELEASE 'N' No option causes "No release of unused space".
