Issue/Introduction

Is there any conversion job for user profile for SYSVIEW 16.0?

Environment

SYSVIEW 16.0 -

Cause

Question about conversion job for user profile.

Resolution

Migration of User Profiles:

In prior releases, CA SYSVIEW user profiles were stored in the profile library data set specified by the following System Configuration Option:

Dsn-System-PROFILE sysview.CNM4BPRF

Starting at CA SYSVIEW release 16.0, user profiles are stored in a new profile data library data set specified by the following System Configuration Option:

Dsn-System-PROFLIB sysview.CNM4BPDL

If you are upgrading from a prior release of CA SYSVIEW, the existing profile library data set (PROFILE) from the prior release will be used as a read-only source to automatically upgrade

and migrate the profile information to the profile data library (PROFLIB) when a user initiates a CA SYSVIEW session.

The profile library data set name from the prior release, sysview.CNM4BPRF, should be specified for the System Configuration Option Dsn-System-PROFILE.

Since you are running now with SYSVIEW 16.0, you have to create a new profile data library data set (PROFLIB) and put it in the System Configuration Option Dsn-System-PROFLIB and

put your old profile dataset in the System Configuration Option Dsn-System-PROFILE.

And as users log on, the profiles in PROFILE will get converted into PROFLIB.

The PROFMBRS display will show what profiles have been converted.

If the profile was converted, it will show source of PROFLIB.
