Issue/Introduction

MSMTC log shows an error message

MSMF0081E - CA CSM verification of managed product USS file systems finished with errors.

when looking further down more details can be found:

MSMF0035E - Managed product USS file system <datasetname> is not mounted to <path>

or

MSMF0034E - Managed product USS file system <datasetnameA> should be mounted to <path>. CA CSM found <datasetnameB> to be mounted.

Environment

Release : 6.0 and 6.1

Component : CHORUS SOFTWARE MANAGER

Cause

During its initialization CA CSM Mount Point Manager is verifying CA CSM software catalog USS file systems.

CA CSM found at least one managed product USS file system not to be mounted.

Resolution

  • Verify that files are correctly mounted to the path as defined in CSI dddef .
  • Correct dddef as necessary by using IBM SMP/E.
  • mount filesystems which are missing.
  • remove CSI from CSM and a migrate again , when any changes to the CSI DDDEF occured.
  • also remove old CSIs no longer needed where the mountpoints are no longer valid

At next CSM start the messages should no longer occur.

Additional Information

in this particular case the CA Common Services 15.0 path definition in DDDEF CFF6PLAT where incorrect.

After changing them and verifying that they are correctly mounted, the CSI had to be removed and re-migrated.
