Issue/Introduction

The following error message was recorded in CA_Access_Gateway_Configuration_Wizard_Install log after the ca-sps-config was executed.

Custom Action:

                          Status: ERROR

                          Additional Notes: ERROR - Host Registration failed: "D:\Program Files\CA\secure-proxy\agentframework\bin\smreghost.exe".  Though you may continue with configuration from this point, your CA Access Gateway will not work until you have registered this host with the Policy Server.  It is strongly recommended that you review your information and complete host registration before continuing.

The SmHost.conf file wasn't created in the D:\Program Files\CA\secure-proxy\proxy-engine\conf\defaultagent directory and the Trusted Host wasn't registered.

Resolution

The following message was recorded before the error message.


STDOUT: Registration failed ('A trusted host with the same name already exists'). 


This message means the specified trusted host has already been registered. The trusted host needs to be removed before running the "ca-sps-config" again.
