Synchronize Agile Central Job (Rally) Fails With Error: 'Agile Integration Owner is inactive'

Issue/Introduction

The Agile Central synchronization with Clarity is failing.  Both the Agile Integration and PM Admin resources are active in Rally, but when a sync job is run (from the active jobs list or the project record) it fails. 

The job error is:

There was a problem reading CA PPM projects : Agile Integration Owner is inactive. Please set an active resource in Administration, Project Settings
Error Occurred java.io.IOException: Agile Integration Owner is inactive. Please set an active resource in Administration, Project Settings page.
either the Agile Central Owner or Project ID has been inactivated.

Component : Clarity Rally Integration

SSO enabled

Cause

There was a change in the CMN_SEC_USERS.user_name / SRM_RESOURCES.unique_name
where it no longer matches the 'Agile Integration Owner' field in
Administration > Project Management > Settings 

 

Resolution

Go to Administration > Project Management > Settings to set the updated 'Agile Integration Owner' field to a valid username.
Click Save.
Rerun the job.
