Issue/Introduction

The OS patch fails with the following error when we try to apply it to vApp on AWS.

How do we apply the OS patches to vApp on AWS?


[ERROR] This patch is suitable for VM based vApp only

[ERROR] The CP installation failed with error #1

[ERROR] The patch installation completed with error #1

Environment

Release : 14.2

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

CP-OS patches are not applicable to AWS installations.

Please use "updateManager" command to apply security patches on AWS.
