How is license file handled for CAPC?

Issue/Introduction

When doing a fresh install there is a request about license file.

Customer would like to know if:

• Installing this in test environment consumes license
• Is license file attached to the machine's IP (since IP address may change)?

Resolution

All licenses for CAPM are trust based.

1. Installing this in test environment consumes license

Installing this in test environment does not consume any license. (Since there are none to consume)

2. Is license file attached to the machine's IP (since IP address may change)?

Since there is no license or license file on the system there is nothing attached to machine name or machine IP. The name and IP can be changed by following the procedure to change the machine IP or Host name.
